Discover Sopra Steria Next with Anna – Consultant Organisation & Change – Germany

Hi, I'm Anna and I'm with Sopra Steria Next in the strategy and management consultancy in the team organization development and change management. But I've been with Sopra Steria since 2019 and I originally joined the corporate team. I decided to switch internally because I'm really happy with Sopra Steria as an employer and I've met great colleagues here in the time I’ve been here.
I just needed a change of scenery without necessarily wanting to switch employers. And that was just a great opportunity.

Your tips for change
My tips for everyone who want to change or who notices that they need a change of scenery to listen to your gut feeling! And for me it was super helpful to look for people in my environment, be it at work or in the circle of friends and acquaintances, who work in the area I wanted or that I found exciting and then simply looking for a conversation, sometimes unexpected doors open up.

How do we lead ? with Moritz – Manager Digital Strategy – Germany
Moin Moin, I am Moritz. I have just become a manager in the team Digital Strategy at NextPublic and have taken over the disciplinary leadership of two team members, Johanna and Keno. And we work together on answers in the transformation, in the digital transformation of customers to achieve the best possible results for the customer together and to accompany him in doing so.
As a manager, I see myself more in a service role and I try to ask specific questions, what do you need to develop your job, your ideas, what needs do you have in the team, to give me a sort of restraining framework. At one point or another if there is a need, I am happy to provide information with templates and the experience that I may have gained in other projects. But apart from that, we also have focus on interdisciplinarity when it comes to ideas, composition and skill sets to put together the best possible methods and thoughts for the customer into the scales and to answer the questions that the customer may not have asked yet.
Sometimes customer come and they think they have recognized their problem, but they are not yet asking the right question and we try to answer them together.
And when are you starting with Moritz?
How do we lead ? with Jennifer – Director Banking – Germany

Hello, my name is Jennifer Brasnic. I am the director of banking and I am responsible for the ServiceLane Custom Excellence with about 35 employees. Why did I become a leader? I love working with people. For me, it's a matter of the heart to encourage my employees to leave the comfort zones to try themselves out and possibly make mistakes, for which I as a leader, of course, stand up for.
I had extreme luck on my career path. I had great leaders that I could learn a lot from and that I can now really pass on. My greatest wish would be to sit in the management team at some point and have two or three of my employees with me in the ranks as I have developed and brought them there myself.
As a leader, I would be extremely happy and appreciate that. What is really important in my job is that I live an open culture. When I say my doors are open, I mean it. That means I offer everyone the opportunity not to try out the space but if mistakes happens etc., or if you have questions , just come to me. What I am really proud of is that my team is really colorful. We now have employees who start at 18, so we have dual students to employees who have been in our company for 20 years.
In addition, we have 50% women in leader positions and that’s a really great number.
And when are you starting with Jennifer?

How do we lead ? with Janina – Unit Lead Change & Innovation Public Sector – Germany
Hello, my name is Janina Lux and I am part of Sopra Steria Next Public. Here, I lead the team Change Innovation. In my everyday life, there are three main areas of work. On the one hand, I work as a change manager in projects of the German administration. These are team management tasks. And thirdly, I work on our portfolio and the layout of offers, so that we can win new projects.

As a leader, it’s especially important to me that everyone in the team has a role, so they know where they can work independently, what their responsibility is. This includes individual leadership and empathy for the respective person, and this creates a diverse team that can complement each other and sometimes work independently.

And, um, you can avoid micromanagement. In our team there are people with professional experience, new employees, but also managers. Everyone has their own individual focus, but what connects us is the desire to help the German public sector to work more efficiently, to become partly more digital in some ways, and to become more resilient.

And when are you starting with Janina?
How do we lead ? with Viktoria – Associate Manager – Germany
Hello everyone, my name is Victoria and I have been working at Sopra Steria in banking for three years. Currently, I accompany our customers a lot in the context of project management, in the agile context, i. e. as a scrum master or scrum master, but also in the field of change management, to really accompany our customers from end to end, and to implement solutions.

What did your career look like?
Yes, I did a dual degree in the textile industry, so I am a beginner. I then stayed in the company and worked in project management. Then I switched to simply learn even more and simply because I had the desire to think even more outside of the box. And I was recruited by a colleague via our program New Faces to Sopra Steria and I have been very happy to be here since then.

Discover Sopra Steria Next with Marie – Consultant Industry & Services – France

My name is Marie, and I'm a graduate of SKEMA Business School. I was hired by Sopra Steria Next after I completed my end-of-studies internship. Over these two years, I've had the opportunity to undertake various missions in different sectors and professions. One mission particularly stood out to me due to its CSR impact, which I'm very sensitive to. It was a strategic and challenging mission aimed at building the purchasing policy and strategy for one of the leaders in social protection. I notably created methodological and self-supporting kits to assist the client in deploying this policy and monitoring the strategy. Why did I like this mission? Firstly, the client was aligned with the values of Sopra Steria Next, meaning building a responsible purchasing policy across the entire group. This mission sparked my interest in corporate responsibility, and Sopra Steria Next heard my desire to evolve. Today, I have the opportunity to specialize in this type of mission. Sopra Steria attaches great importance to CSR. This is evident in the appointment of Axelle Lemaire as Director of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainable Development. What's also great at Sopra Steria Next is that we have the opportunity to create our own opportunities, and trust is placed in us. In addition to these missions, I had the opportunity to help organise the University of Consulting: an in-house seminar for the company that brings together nearly 1,500 people. I loved this experience. Firstly, because I gained a 360° view of Sopra Steria Next, its goals, and its roadmap. I also led the University of Consulting in collaboration with the French management. Beyond that, this collaboration increased my sense of belonging within the company. Today, I continue to support Sopra Steria Next in its transformation project and, of course, get involved in missions with CSR impact.

Discover Sopra Steria Next with Jade– Senior Manager Aerospace - France

Ambitious, committed, and a good listener are the main words that would describe me as a senior manager consultant. My name is Jade and I joined Sopra Steria Next more than eight years ago. Since then, I've been working for customers in the fields of industry, aeronautics, space, and military. I studied in a business school and I did my final year of work-study at Airbus. At the end of that experience, I wanted to join a consulting firm which supports major players in their transformation programs. I was right in joining Sopra Steria Next, it was a winning move. I carry out guidance and steering tasks for high-stakes projects. I help customers modernise, improve, and digitalise their businesses. Whatever the context, we have the partnership mindset, collective reflection and co-construction to build and manage transformation projects. I currently work for a major industrial company known for its innovative capabilities and excellent supply chain. I support the team in charge of upgrading the information system to make carve in/carve-out possible. Which is the creation of a new company. It's a project that we support from start to finish, why? Because we've been there since the framing phase, the identifying and defining of needs, until the development phase, solution design, the test phase, finally, the switchover to production. It's a real project that's challenging and very interesting. Why is that? Because first of all, it's in English. It is multinational and therefore international. It is multi-domain and multi-entity. I am convinced that the strength of Sopra Steria Next, is its ability to address both business topics and IT solutions. The two go hand in hand and are inseparable. We're really into business and technology. I think the defining feature of our approach, and what can add value to and secure our projects, is having this vision of technics and business. What I like about Sopra Steria Next is carrying out rewarding tasks, both intellectually, as we've just seen, but also humanly. Humanly, because I had the opportunity, for many years, to manage teams with diverse expertise and profiles. From all this, I hold on to the challenge, the trust of my management, the pride I take in leading teams and also the satisfaction of working with customers, alongside customers, on high-stakes projects.

Discover Sopra Steria Next with Bechir – Partner Defense & Security - France
Hello, my name is Béchir. I'm a development engineer, and I joined Sopra Steria Next 10 years ago after 11 years with another consulting firm. I'm a manager in the Defense & Security practice, the body that supports transformation projects of three key ministries, namely, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Ministry of the Armed Forces. Supporting our clients' transformation projects and on behalf of a public authority, what does it mean? Simply put, it means being able to facilitate and support, a process of change, of innovation, or even reorganization. That's what I find interesting about Sopra Steria Next and also its strength. Beyond the group's multi-business dimension is its ability to guide and enlighten customers. by combining in-depth knowledge of its customers' businesses and providing expertise in technological levers. To give you a concrete example, we're currently supporting one of the company's flagship projects, the digital transformation of the State, a project aimed to digitalise all interactions between investigators and courts throughout the criminal proceedings. It's a perfect example of a digital transformation project to simplify and modernise public action, rethink professions and improve working conditions of administrative staff. I've told you about what we do with and for our clients, I'd also like to talk to you about our teams, consultants, the human capital that carries and adds value on a daily basis for our customers, through their creativity and expertise. That's why, for me, it's important to give direction and purpose continuously by encouraging employees to go the extra mile on the various missions. If you are curious, have a strong sense of community, and if you want to take part in exciting projects, we're waiting for you.
Discover Sopra Steria Next with Tia – Work-study student - France

Once upon a time at Sopra Steria Next, a place where every passion can become a profession. That's how my adventure began, in an eloquence contest during my third year at business school. The truth is, I didn't win, but during the final, I just wanted to do something and I did it. I put my CV on the table, the doors opened, and my adventure as an intern at Sopra Steria Next began. During the first year, I dove right into two missions. The first, the Sopra Steria Next's do-tank which aims to promote digital ethics. It's not the usual stories of a coffee-photocopy intern, because reality was way more exciting. I was able to join the thought leaderships' production team, i.e. publications designed to promote innovative ideas to our customers, innovative perspectives, and solutions for tomorrow's challenges. Tens of publications have been produced, but to name two, there was one about the supply chain and another on decarbonizing the aeronautics sector. At the same time, my second mission in the Sopra Steria Next employer brand allowed me to develop my creativity, and also my communication skills. For example, I was able to create an escape game for student forums or write Sopra Steria Next's in-house newsletter. Today, a new opportunity is opening up for me, new doors, and I was able to start a new mission, more technical this time, which aims to develop a government application, France Identité Numérique, and to manage communication around it. If you're like me, looking for a passion, if you really want to find what drives you in a profession, I suggest you take a look at the Sopra Steria Next website, and I hope that, like me, you'll be able to find your treasure. in this extraordinary professional tale.

Discover Sopra Steria Next with Romane – Consultant Industry & Services - France
Hello, I'm Romane, Junior consultant at Sopra Steria Next. After my Master's degree in Digital marketing and an internship in business transformation, I wanted to specialise in that field. And here I am, a year later, member of the industry and services team. I'm a Project coordinator, also known as PMO. So, what do I actually do? On a daily basis, I have a global vision of all projects and I handle the roadmap of the department I work for. I also align all stakeholder strategies in organising steering committees. Beyond my mission for the customer, I wanted to go further and get involved in missions that are a little closer to my heart and align to my values, notably through two in-house missions. The first is Great Place To Work. It's a survey that measures well-being at work and identify areas for improvement within companies. I work within my entity with a team which, among other things, supervises women's careers through a wide range of actions. The second relates to eco-design: designing a product or service more responsibly. We set up webinars in mini-trainings format to share best practices that can be applied on a daily basis in our use of digital technology. What I like about Sopra Steria Next is that you can really take charge of your own career path by being a driving force. I was able to work in the railway sector and have a strategic vision of tomorrow's challenges through my mission with my customer.
Discover Sopra Steria Next with Olivier – Manager Aerospace – France
Hello, my name is Olivier. I'm a senior consultant within the Aeroline consulting unit of Sopra Steria Next. This is the entity that brings together our transformation projects for aerospace and industrial sectors. I joined Sopra Steria Next in 2019 as part of my final engineering internship at École Centrale Paris. When I joined Sopra Steria Next, I was immediately immersed into a great adventure that continues to this day. This adventure is primarily human. Firstly, for me, as it has allowed me to progress in a professional context, both in terms of my skills and responsibilities. I arrived as an intern and now lead a team of about people. Secondly, for the colleagues I work with every day, especially those I supervise, as it is now my role to help them grow and progress, just as I had the opportunity to do so myself. Finally, with our clients with whom we work hand in hand to achieve our goals together. You might be wondering what I do concretely. Let me tell you about this adventure. It's a large transformation project, like the ones we are used to at Sopra Steria Next, a project aimed at modernising the support for aircraft fleets through the implementation of a new information system. This system will address one of the major industrial challenges of tomorrow by optimising fleet availability. I had the opportunity to join this project at its inception in 2019. Through this project, I had the opportunity to co-create this solution with the client, both on business processes and on screens within the solution. I then got to see the result of our ideas materialise in the solution through the implementation by our teams. I also had the chance to present the result of our work to end-users through our change management activities, including training. I was able to show them their tool for the future, explain how they would use it, and the reasons behind its design. Within a few months, we will be launching this solution into production, marking the successful culmination of the work of many collaborators over several years. Personally, I'm looking forward to it. To sum up, I'd say it's extraordinary for me to work on shaping the daily life of the aerospace industry's future players by addressing their current challenges and issues.
Discover Sopra Steria Next with Sophie – Senior Manager Banking – France
I'm Sophie Léon, I'm a senior manager at Sopra Steria Next. I joined Sopra Steria Next eight years ago as a consultant, after I graduated from EDHEC business school, so I've come a long way since then. I first joined the transport unit where I learned consulting and then I worked for a lot of passenger and freight transports. I have carried out transformation work and digital transformation. You might say that's not very concrete. Let me give you an example: a work I did for a carrier on their inspection activities was to optimise inspectors' activities which involved both optimising the coverage of the Île-de-France region and also to generate more revenue. For this, we set up a tracking application and planning of inspector activities. This is also where I gradually took on a managerial role, both by taking on a commercial dimension, and also by managing teams. After five years, I digressed towards customer service, where I worked on the board's value enhancement program. The aim was to build and multiply consulting practices across all our jurisdictions in France. It was a great opportunity to better understand the board's strategy, and also to better understand how this consulting strategy fits into the group's overall strategy. Two years ago, I wanted to change units and move from transport to banking. I wanted to rechallenge myself and also to discover a new world where I could work with the customers in a service environment. I was not disappointed, since it's been several months that I work for a major bank on building and marketing their new management offer for small and medium-sized businesses. It's a very strategic topic for the group, and at the same time exciting for the consultants. In conclusion, I'd say I was pleased to have a career path that matched my desires at the time and that Sopra Steria Next's organisation was flexible enough to allow me to do so.

Discover Sopra Steria Next with Bertrand – Partner Sustainability and Energy – France
Hello, my name is Bertrand. I'm a partner at Sopra Steria Next. I specialise in the energy and environmental sector in Europe, and currently, I am particularly involved in missions with our client EDF. What do I see as a particularity of the Sopra Steria Next firm? Essentially, we are an ambidextrous consulting firm. Our left brain is passionate about digital transformation and it's certainly the historical DNA of the firm. Our right brain is becoming increasingly curious about the business challenges of our clients. At the intersection of these two worlds, ultimately, we position ourselves to make a difference through our missions with our clients. What are the major challenges in the next few months for me and my teams? In principle, it's very simple. It's about helping our energy clients accelerate on the theme of energy transition. It also involves accelerating the redevelopment of the nuclear sector in France and England. On more concrete aspects for each of us, it's about implementing energy consumption capabilities during extreme cold days, consuming less, emitting less CO2, all thanks to the contribution of IoT and data, it's an interesting topic. If I take stock, working on these themes is contributing one's small part to the energy transition. It's an excellent reason to get up in the morning.
